a new four by four

I was tagged again. This time by dry as toast. This blog is written by a girl about town – a writer in NYC. A writer in NYC. Does it get any better? She is funny and sweet. You should check out her four by four…..her four things she would like God to say at the Gates of Heaven made me laugh.

Here it goes.

Top four wishes:
1) my house would sell
2) that I could travel more
3) my family would always live life to the fullest
4) I knew with certainty what I wanted to do with my life

Four places I want to travel to:
1) Italy
2) Disney World (I have never been to anything disney except the disney store)
3) Germany
4) somewhere in Africa – I don’t know what part, but I would like to visit some of this continent

Four careers I want to be involved in:
1) Doing more public speaking than I am
2) Interior decorator (decorating because design would take way too many years of school)
3) Fashion – anyplace I could be surrounded by a lot of fabulous clothing and handbags and shoes that doesn’t require me to stand for hours at a till or ask, “can I help you?” Maybe I could be a personal shopper. I would love to spend other people’s money and boss them around.
4) writing but that one is a fantasy…..well, I guess much like the fashion career is a fantasy. A girl can dream.

Four things I would like God to say at the Gates of Heaven:
1) Here’s Betty!
2) I had a plan all along
3) Make yourself comfortable
4) Ask me anything you want and I’ll answer every question

Swept Up

In Quiet
Both my kids are in school this morning. Both. This is the first time this has happened. Quiet and a cappucino. I am swept up.

(this is the starbucks mug that holds my coffee every morning)

it’s fun to read your 4 x 4’s. i hope you keep getting tagged over and over! haha! i covet that starbucks mug. i’ve been eyeing it myself. so glad you got a quiet moment to breathe and drink some nectar of the gods!

I hope it does get better for me!! I still have loads I want to do, see, learn! And thank you so much for the sweet intro 🙂

And if you want to do more public speaking you should come take my spot on Saturday. I volunteered to join a panel of alumni to talk to prospective students for my grad school program about the process, the school and what I’ve been doing since I left. Can we add that I can’t speak in front of more than three people? Ugh…why…

Haha, I’ve always said that if I struck it rich I’d hire a personal shopper. I absolutely hate shopping for clothes and am fashionably clueless. I’ll keep you in mind if it happens!

And why is writing such a fantasy? I love reading your stuff now as I’m sure others do, so maybe this idea isn’t as farfetched as you think.

Btw, I really liked what you hope God would say, especially the very first one 🙂

dawn, Thank you and tag! You’re it!
By the way if I ever get to move that mug is my inspiration for what I want to do next in my new home.

dorkys r, You’ll do great at that event because you’re so personable!
If you need a personal shopper I’m there! New York and shopping – could there be a more winning combination??
    Thanks for the compliment….

blue hearts, I just checked out your blog. I think you’re the one with the unique blog! 🙂

If I do join the AF, it would probably be sometime next year. Can’t leave my littlest one too soon.

I hope your house sells soon. I know a bit about that, my hubby is a real estate agent.
